Tax Manager - Public

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager - Public to join a client-focused accounting practice in Detroit, Michigan. This role is ideal for a Client Facing Leader with experience working with High Net Worth Individuals who can lead complex engagements involving closely held businesses, trusts, and estates while also building strong relationships in the local market. The successful candidate will combine technical knowledge with a visible presence in the business community to help expand client partnerships and support continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Leading client relationships for private clients
• Providing tax planning for individuals, trusts, estates, gifts, and pass-through entities
• Advising on wealth transfer, succession, and estate planning
• Coordinating with attorneys, investment advisors, and family office professionals
• Overseeing compliance and consulting engagements
• Developing business and mentoring staff

10+ years experience and knowledge of estate planning, trust, gift, and building a book of business
