I.DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The Technical Writer for IT Certification Program is intended todevelop curricula,course outlines, instructional methods, training aids, manuals, and other instructional materials and productsthat would integrate DIR data and prerequisite skills tied to CTCM & CTCD certifications.

Analyze training content for accessibility; and recommend changes to make content accessible and remediate accessibility issues. Works under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Relieson experience and judgment to plan andaccomplishgoals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks,witha wide degree oflatitudewith given information on currentIT Procurement.

Consults with staff on the development of materials by gatheringaccurateinformation and translating technical content, including descriptions of concepts, process, and systems, into clear, user-friendly language.

Note: Expected Start Date04/13/2026and Expected End Date08/31/2026. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.

This position is Hybrid, On-site and Telework – Austin, TX 78701. Program will only allow candidates who areLOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius).

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.
