Job Description
The Pharmacist in Charge oversees the day-to-day operations of a full-service pharmacy, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This role manages pharmacy staff, inventory, and workflow, collaborates closely with healthcare providers, and provides direct patient counseling to support optimal health outcomes. The position also plays a key leadership role in developing policies and procedures, driving operational excellence, and maintaining high levels of patient and provider satisfaction.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, onsite role in a full-service pharmacy that serves employees and their dependents, offering both traditional retail services and mail order options. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a stable daytime workweek. The Pharmacist in Charge manages one pharmacy technician and two PRN pharmacists who support coverage needs. The environment is professional, patient-focused, and collaborative, with an emphasis on accuracy, safety, and efficient workflow. Operations are supported by standard pharmacy technology and systems for prescription processing, inventory management, and documentation. Dress code is professional and appropriate for a clinical pharmacy setting, reflecting a commitment to patient trust and quality care.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Orleans, LA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
