Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Customer Service Advocate to join our team in Houston,TX. This role is responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, authorizations, and complaints while providing accurate information and maintaining detailed documentation. The ideal candidate has healthcare or health plan experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced customer service environment. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • $19.69/hour
  • Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Located in Houston, Texas
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound calls regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and authorizations
  • Resolve customer questions and provide accurate solutions when possible
  • Review claims issues and submit reconsideration requests when appropriate
  • Provide first-call resolution whenever possible
  • Accurately document calls and transactions in CRM and claim systems
  • Maintain knowledge of claim systems, benefits, eligibility, and authorizations
  • Track recurring issues and report trends to management
  • Complete customer follow-up as needed for timely resolution
  • Protect confidential information and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Follow all departmental and organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with customers and coworkers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, including 1 year in healthcare, health plans, or a related field
  • Experience with claims, authorizations, benefits, and eligibility
  • Experience supporting multiple lines of business
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and self-control
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based work
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds
  • Frequent walking and standing may be required
