Direct Support Professional

CALLAWAY COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES is seeking a Direct Support Professionbal who will provide person-centered support and help individuals achieve their goals in a respectful, supportive environment.

The Direct Support Professional will support individuals in daily activities, promote independence, and help maintain a safe, welcoming setting for each person served. This role is onsite in Fulton, MO, and is focused on building meaningful relationships while delivering consistent, high-quality care.

You will work as part of a dedicated team, assisting with day-to-day needs and collaborating to ensure supports align with individual preferences, routines, and objectives. Personal care, hygiene, transportation, and medication administration are daily responsibilities.

• Provide direct, person-centered support with daily living activities while respecting dignity, privacy, and individual choice

• Assist individuals with community engagement and structured routines to encourage growth and independence

• Document care and observations accurately and consistently according to established procedures

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain continuity of support and shared understanding of needs

Education High school diploma or GED. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Experience Preferred one or more years of experience providing direct care to persons with developmental disabilities.

Applicants must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and background check, possess a valid drivers license, and provide proof of insurability.

Hourly rate: $17.00; $18 after successful 3-month Introductory Period
