Overview:
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to fabricate and weld components using a variety of metals, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum. This role involves working from blueprints and weld symbols to produce high-quality welds that meet structural and cosmetic standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
Job Duties:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel and other metals according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and basic weld symbols
Set up welding equipment, select proper filler materials, and adjust settings as needed
Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and fitting components
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance standards
Perform minor weld repairs or rework as required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and company quality standards
Collaborate with fabrication, machining, and assembly teams as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding
Experience welding stainless steel required; experience with aluminum and carbon steel preferred
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
Familiarity with measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges)
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a shop environment
Preferred Skills:
Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
Experience with structural, cosmetic, or precision welding
Basic fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, fitting)
Experience working in a manufacturing or custom fabrication setting
