Journeyman HVAC/R Technician
HSP Refrigeration is seeking an experienced Journeyman HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team. We provide commercial refrigeration, HVAC, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance services throughout Central Kentucky and southern Ohio.
A valid Journeyman HVAC Mechanic license is REQUIRED for this position.
What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment
Service walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, rooftop units, and related equipment
Perform commercial HVAC/R installations and equipment change-outs
Complete preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment issues before failure
Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications
Accurately document work performed, materials used, and recommended repairs
Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, managers, and other team members
Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow applicable codes and company procedures
Participate in on-call/emergency service rotation as needed
Required Qualifications
Current Journeyman HVAC Mechanic license REQUIRED
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification REQUIRED
Demonstrated commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Ability to work independently in the field
Ability to safely lift equipment and materials and work on ladders/rooftops as required
Professional communication and customer-service skills
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
Commercial refrigeration
Walk-in coolers and freezers
Ice machines
Restaurant and food-service equipment
Rooftop HVAC systems
New commercial equipment installations
Preventative maintenance programs

License Requirement: Applicants must currently hold the Journeyman credential required for this position in the state of KY. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
