Summary
Performs advanced production planning and scheduling to support manufacturing requirements and customer delivery commitments. Develops production instructions, monitors job progress, resolves schedule issues, and may provide guidance or training to others.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop production schedules, sequences, and lead times to meet customer and shipping requirements.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, work orders, and program requirements to support production planning.
  • Plan fabrication, assembly, installation, work-center activities, and manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor production schedules, part availability, and job status; expedite materials and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Create and release production documents, manufacturing/picking instructions, requisitions, and cost-control records.
  • Coordinate procurement requirements, including direct purchases and subcontracted work.
  • Track jobs through completion, verify costs, identify schedule deficiencies, and provide status updates to management.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Accounting, customers, and vendors to resolve production and scheduling issues.
  • Analyze delays and workflow issues and recommend process improvements to support the master schedule.
  • Prepare procedures and process flows, follow established requirements, and support internal and external quality audits.
  • May lead, train, or provide guidance to others as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5–7 years of related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of production/process planning and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, work orders, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across departments and with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining quality and customer commitments.
  • Successful completion of required pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Frequently requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing, with sufficient close vision to perform assigned duties. Work environment is generally quiet.
