Paint Sales Specialist
Location: Sharon, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Includes rotating Saturday half-days as needed
About the Role
Koopman Lumber is looking for a knowledgeable, customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join our team in Sharon, MA.
This is a hands-on retail position for someone who enjoys helping customers select the right products for their projects. You’ll assist homeowners, contractors, and professional painters while helping keep the Paint Department organized, stocked, and ready for business.
What You’ll Do
- Help customers select paints, stains, coatings, and project supplies.
- Mix, tint, and color-match paint accurately.
- Answer product questions and provide guidance on surface preparation, application, and product use.
- Build relationships with homeowners, contractors, and professional painters.
- Support sales through product knowledge, helpful recommendations, and dependable customer service.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, inventory counts, merchandising, and product displays.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department.
- Support overall store operations as needed.
- Follow all Koopman company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
- Paint, coatings, hardware, or home improvement experience strongly preferred.
- Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills.
- An organized, dependable approach and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active retail environment.
- Availability to work rotating Saturday half-days as needed.
