Job Summary

Dietary Aides assist in preparing the dining rooms and tables, provide meal service to residents and

maintain cleanliness and sanitaOon of dining and kitchen areas. The dietary aide will ensure full

compliance with nutriOonal standards, internal procedures and government regulaOons while preparing

and serving food and beverages to all residents.

Maintain Rights of Residents as set forth by the Texas Department of Health Laws and RegulaOons.

EssenOal FuncOons

Prepare meals and beverages using specific procedures.

Serve meals using standards to maintain sanitaOon and quality.

Store stock appropriately to maintain cleanliness and prevent food spoilage.

Accurately record meals served and monitor temperatures of food.

Clean assigned dining areas using appropriate procedures.

Wash dishes and/or utensils according to acceptable standards of pracOce.

Ensure compliance with sanitaOon.

ParOcipate in menu planning.

Other duOes as assigned, with or without reasonable accommodaOons, to assist in maintaining

quality standards and maintaining the facility as a viable and successful enOty.

QualificaOons

Previous nursing home experience preferred

Physical, CogniOve and Sensory Requirements

Must be able to move intermi?ently throughout the workday.

Ability to remain calm under stress.

Must funcOon independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effecOvely

with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Ability to demonstrate paOence, tact, courtesy, enthusiasm, and a posiOve attude.

Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emoOonally upset, and at Omes

hosOle residents within the facility.

Ability to read and write in English.

Must be able to liO and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.

Keep the corporate office apprised of situaOons that could negaOvely impact the

facility

Ensure only posiOve informaOon is menOoned to all contacts of the facility, prospecOve

residents, staff, sales staff, and inspecOon teams, etc.

Any expenses over $500 dollars are to be reported and approved by the owner.
