Program Administration Intern

Summary of Position:TheProgram Administration Internhelpsschool staff foster asafe and welcoming program spaceat their school,supportsrecruitment effortson campus, and provides logistical support forteen attendance, documents, and payroll.Freshmen Connection Liaisonsalso visit theirschool’sprograms regularly and support instructors withanylesson demonstrations, small group work, or one-on-one support for teens.

This is a part-time position scheduled for approximately20-25 hours per week for 7 weeks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist theHigh SchoolConnection Coordinator within-school recruitment efforts;provide teen applicationassistance andenrolland dropteens inCityspan/and/orCPS ASPEN,if possible andas needed.

• Ensure teens are eligible forstipendsby gathering weekly attendance forms and teen documents and entering attendance inCityspanand/or CPS ASPENeach week

• Ensure pre/post field trip procedures are completed for the school’sprograms, including submitting Program Enhancement requests and check requests.

• Serveasone of thecontactsfor parentsforprogrammatic and stipend inquiries

• Read and respond to ASM communications within2 business daystosupport programs with the most up-to-date guidance

• AssistHigh SchoolConnection staff in the classroom, as needed

• Make remindermessagesto teens and parents related to attendance and programming.

• Other duties as assignedby theHigh SchoolConnection coordinator.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong relationships with students at the school to facilitate recruitment

• Strong customer service skills to field student and teen questions

• Attention to detail and organizational skills to enter teen attendance reliably and promptly and track teen documents

• Ability to troubleshoot in emergencies while supporting teens

RequiredQualifications:

• High school degree or equivalency required

• Cook County residency required

Schedule:

• Varies according to school programming schedule,Mondays-Fridays 8am-2:30pm.

• Ability to travel to ASM sites as needed

Compensation:$18 / per hour
