We are looking for DSPs!
Community Bridges is a nonprofit organization that provides residential and day services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Direct Support Providers, or DSPs, are employed in homes throughout the community to teach daily living skills and provide care and companionship to the clients we serve.
As a Direct assist persons in increasing their independence by teaching daily living skills, maintaining health and hygiene, and communication. You will build lasting relationships through community outings, functional activities, and daily Support Professional, you will companionship!
We have several shifts and schedules to meet your needs...these are general options but we have a lot of variety within these:
- Shifts: Days: 8am - 8pm & Nights: 8pm - 8am (awake)
- Schedule examples: Sun/Mon/Tue and Thu/Fri/Sat
- 12-hour work shifts allow for full-time work and up to 16 days off per month! You can have more than half the year off, but still work full-time, OR, we allow and encourage you to pick up additional shifts!
Some duties:
- Providing companionship, conversation, and engagement in activities
- Assisting with care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, cooking, cleaning, eating)
- Transportation to appointments and activities
- Administering medications
- Observing, documenting, and reporting data on daily activities
- IF applying for overnight: The main caregiving duties for overnight DSPs are assisting clients with personal care and bedtime routines, light housekeeping and bed checks throughout the night, documentation, in addition to assisting consumers with their morning routines.

Some qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience preferred, but not required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a safe driver and have a valid driver's license
- Ability to physically assist individuals
