The attendant at Rt. 88 Burgers and Brew requires a friendly and efficient person who can handle a variety of responsibilities. From customer service skills at the cash register to food preparation in the kitchen and stocking shelves. Must enjoy a fast-paced environment and be a team player.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate the cash register, processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues with a positive attitude. Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and sanitary work environment in the kitchen.
  • Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and procedures. Will have a separate job code when working as a cook, at the cook payrate.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., ovens, grills, fryers).
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Ensure timely preparation of food orders.
  • Receive and unpack deliveries, verifying accuracy against invoices, assist with inventory counts.
  • Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with merchandise, maintain organized stock areas.
  • Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry moderate to heavy objects.
  • Complete appropriate trainings listed on the human resources Training Matrix.
  • Adhere to Wheeling Park Commission’s safety rules and policy; refer any and all safety concerns to department manager, safety committee or human resources.
  • Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training is provided.
