Data Center Fiber Technician

We are hiring LOCAL Data Center Fiber Technicians for a large data center project in Rock Hill, SC. This is a long-term opportunity for technicians with hands-on fiber and structured cabling experience.

This is an active construction environment where PPE will be required. If you are looking for anything software related please do not apply.

Pay: $24–$28/hr depending on experience
Schedule: Day shift, 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts
Projected Start: September 15
Duration: Approximately 26 weeks with potential to convert for strong technicians

Responsibilities:

• Pull, route, dress, and support fiber and low-voltage cabling
• Terminate fiber cabling and associated connectivity
• Test fiber installations and identify installation or test failures
• Perform structured cabling work in IDF/MDF and data center environments
• Maintain clean cable routing, labeling, and workmanship standards
• Complete installations safely and according to project requirements
• Troubleshoot cabling and fiber issues as needed

Qualifications:

• Recent hands-on fiber optic installation experience
• Demonstrated fiber handling, termination, and testing experience
• Low-voltage or structured cabling experience
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot installation issues
• Strong attention to quality and safety
• Data center or other critical-environment experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Candidates should be prepared to discuss previous fiber installations, IDF/MDF buildouts, testing procedures, troubleshooting, quality control, and jobsite safety during the interview process.
