We are excited to add a Sales Manager to the team at Aloft Frisco! We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, finding new opportunities, and turning connections into results.
The Sales Manager will play an important role in growing the hotel’s business by developing new accounts, strengthening existing partnerships, and identifying opportunities throughout Frisco and the greater North Dallas market. Working alongside the Director of Sales and hotel leadership, this position will focus on proactive prospecting, client engagement, site tours, and converting opportunities into room nights and revenue.

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree in hospitality, business, sales, marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Previous hotel sales, hospitality, or business development experience preferred.
- Experience with business travel, corporate negotiated accounts, and/or group sales is preferred.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently present the hotel to prospective clients.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, opportunities, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review account production, market trends, competitive information, and revenue opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn hotel sales, CRM, and property management systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for sales appointments, networking events, and client meetings as needed.
Requirements:
Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Proactively solicit new business within assigned market segments to achieve or exceed individual and hotel revenue goals.
- Develop new accounts through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, market research, networking, local business outreach, and other lead-generation activities.
- Manage assigned business travel, corporate negotiated, group, and/or other market segments based on the needs of the hotel.
- Identify key demand generators and business opportunities throughout Frisco and the surrounding North Dallas market.
- Convert qualified leads into definite business through timely follow-up, effective negotiation, and a strong understanding of client needs.
- Consistently achieve established sales activity, prospecting, appointment, and revenue-production goals.
- Participate in sales blitzes, prospecting initiatives, promotions, and other activities designed to generate incremental revenue.
- Maintain an active presence in the local business community and develop relationships that generate new opportunities for the hotel.
Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring Aloft Frisco remains top of mind for future hotel needs.
- Regularly contact assigned accounts according to established account coverage and tracing expectations.
- Monitor account production and buying patterns to identify opportunities for growth, retention, or corrective sales action.
- Conduct account reviews and identify opportunities to increase room nights, shift share from competitors, and expand the hotel's relationship with key customers.
- Maintain accurate and timely account profiles, sales activities, traces, notes, and production information within applicable sales systems.
- Partner with the Director of Sales and Revenue Management to evaluate account performance, pricing opportunities, and market trends.
Client Experience & Hotel Representation
- Conduct professional hotel tours and site inspections that effectively showcase Aloft Frisco and connect hotel features with the client's specific needs.
- Coordinate and participate in client appointments, entertainment, networking events, lunches, presentations, and community activities.
- Meet and greet key clients and groups when appropriate and support a smooth transition from the sales process to hotel operations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Aloft Frisco, Avion Hospitality, and the Aloft brand.
- Maintain familiarity with the hotel's guestrooms, meeting capabilities, amenities, services, competitive advantages, and local area.
- Develop a strong understanding of competitor hotels, including their positioning, pricing, product offerings, and market activity.
Sales Strategy & Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Sales, General Manager, Revenue Management, and hotel operations to maximize revenue opportunities and market share.
- Participate actively in scheduled sales, revenue, and business review meetings.
- Review pace, production, account trends, market conditions, and competitive activity and recommend sales actions when opportunities or negative trends are identified.
- Support the development and execution of hotel sales strategies, promotions, special projects, and need-date initiatives.
- Communicate relevant client information and commitments to hotel departments to ensure expectations are understood and delivered.
- Follow established Avion Hospitality sales processes, policies, brand standards, and reporting requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, professional, and service-oriented interactions with clients, guests, associates, and business partners.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance based on the business needs of the hotel and sales organization.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct consistent with Avion Hospitality and brand standards.
- Attend required hotel, sales, and company meetings, training sessions, and functions.
- Participate in Manager on Duty or other hotel leadership coverage when assigned.
- Maintain flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend client, networking, or hotel events based on business needs.
- Protect confidential company, guest, client, and associate information.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales or General Manager.
