Star Builders is looking for a motivated Multi-Crafted Construction Worker / Carpenter Helper to join our team. In this position, you will work alongside experienced carpenters and job foremen to build, install, and repair structures across various project sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Construction & Framing: Measure, cut materials, and erect structural frameworks using hand tools, power tools, and powder-actuated equipment.
- Jobsite Operations: Load, unload, and install building materials safely and efficiently.
- Equipment & Tools: Set up, operate, and maintain machinery and equipment (training provided).
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols, wear proper PPE, and attend ongoing safety/trade training sessions.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with team members and offer suggestions to improve site safety and workflow efficiency.
- Travel: Travel to various project sites, which may include overnight or extended stays.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2+ years of construction experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred (shop/trade class experience is a major plus).
- Licensure: Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
Technical & Math Skills:
- Ability to read jobsite prints, diagrams, safety manuals, and product documents.
- Basic knowledge of trade math (calculating angles, roof pitches, and basic geometry).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, common-sense problem-solving, and the ability to take direction from supervisors and site leads.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Physical Capabilities: Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and operate tools with precision.
- Lifting: Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift over 100 lbs with assistance.
- Successful completion of Pre-Employment Physical, Drug & Alcohol Screening
Work Environment:
- Active exposure to outdoor weather conditions and loud jobsite environments.
- Frequent work at heights or in elevated, precarious places.
- Occasional work around wet conditions or heavy machinery.
