Production Manager
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth communication with homeowners from project initiation to completion
- Keep customers updated on project progress and address any issues promptly
- Prepare all stages necessary to produce an excellent installation experience for the homeowner, the crews, and the sales team members for warranty work and all roofing projects
- Order material and schedule labor for all roofing, siding, soffit, fascia, windows, doors, and gutter jobs for both the Residential and Commercial divisions
- Track and manage gross profit margins, ensuring all projects remain within budget
- Provide weekly and monthly production reports to the leadership team
- Recruit, hire, and train production team members to ensure proper staffing
- Lead production teams, hold members accountable, and maintain team morale through monthly check-ins and performance reviews
- Attend weekly Level 10 Meetings and ensure strategic initiatives are reached
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree or higher in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
- 2-3 years of experience in production coordination or project management in the construction or roofing industry (required)
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience managing teams or subcontractors
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience working in a fast-paced construction or production environment
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficiency in production management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore) and familiarity with CRM tools
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, subcontractors, and clients
- Strong understanding of construction trades, including roofing, carpentry, and general building practices
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and team dynamics
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit/stand in an office environment for 8+ hours per day
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs
- Ability to stoop or kneel as needed
- Ability to operate construction tools and equipment safely
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to different job sites, run errands, and transport materials or equipment
- Physically capable of handling supply runs, picking up materials, and transporting trailers
