Our Deer Park, TX incineration operation. It runs 24/7/365 to keep communities safeweekends and federal holidays included.
What will you actually do?
- Apply safe work practicesalwaysso that everyone goes home healthy.
- Diagnose issues in instrumentation, motors, MCC buckets, and associated control devices.
- Work through PLC/DCS ladder logic to pinpoint and correct problems in the field.
- Calibrate instruments on the bench and in place; document results meticulously.
- Install and maintain control/power wiring, cabling, power distribution, and motor control centers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to electrical troubleshooting needs.
When will you work?
Per CBA: Rotating 4 day shifts/4 off (on-call), followed by 4 night shifts/4 off (off-call).
What will you earn?
Per CBA: $45.23/hour, with potential overtime and other CBA-governed benefits.
What credentials are required?
- One of: TDLR Journeyman Electrician’s License (or higher) or NCCER Industrial Electrician.
- Due to the CBA, we cannot accept a “TDLR Electrical Apprentice” or “NCCER Instrumentation Technician.”
- We verify all credentials before moving applicants forward. Those without the required credentials are not considered.
What experience and skills help you succeed?
- HS diploma or equivalent.
- 3–5+ years in an industrial setting performing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of motor controls, digital/analog circuits, and instrumentation calibrations.
- NFPA 70E/Arc Flash knowledge.
- Ability to interpret PLC/DCS ladder logic and understand interactions with field equipment.
- Blueprint and instrumentation diagram literacy (preferred).
- Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS).
- Comfort working with 480V and below; VFD programming familiarity (preferred).
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend, and stand for long periods; work in all weather.

This role is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); the contract governs pay, scheduling, and testing requirements.
