Senior Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Houston / Harris County, Texas
Salary: $85,000–$100,000 + Performance Bonus

Established Houston personal injury law firm seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal to work directly with attorneys and manage cases from filing through mediation, settlement, and trial preparation.

This is not an entry-level or traditional case-manager position. We are looking for someone who understands Texas PI litigation, takes ownership of deadlines, and keeps cases moving without constant supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned litigation docket from filing through trial preparation
• Monitor SOLs, discovery deadlines, court deadlines, and scheduling orders
• Draft petitions, motions, notices, subpoenas, and other pleadings for attorney review
• Prepare and organize written discovery and responses
• Coordinate service, depositions, mediations, hearings, experts, and inspections
• Communicate with clients regarding litigation matters
• Organize medical records, bills, employment records, and damages evidence
• Prepare medical chronologies, mediation materials, exhibits, and trial notebooks
• Assist with expert designations and trial preparation
• Identify stalled cases, upcoming issues, and matters requiring attorney attention
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
• Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Texas state court practice and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Harris County litigation experience preferred
• Experience with discovery, depositions, and deadline management
• Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload
• Legal case-management software experience; Filevine is a plus

Compensation

$85,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience, plus potential performance-based bonus.
