WHAT YOU’LL DO

  1. Adapt and promote Lean Manufacturing principles.
  2. Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings.
  3. Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives and promotes safe forklift handling and practices.
  4. Creates deliveries and stages material in preparation for shipment to the customer and/or outside processing. Includes assigning product in SAP.
  5. Responsible for maintaining a safe, organized and clean finished goods area.
  6. Distributes receiving paperwork to the appropriate departments. (e.g.: vendor Bill of Lading to Purchasing, customer Bills of Lading accordingly with corrections prior to the driver leaving).
  7. Assists in performing periodic Cycle Counts and Physical inventories.
  8. Backup duties to the Material Control Coordinator as assigned. (e.g. Cover Operators on draw and sort).
  9. Works directly with Material Control Coordinator, and indirectly with General Production Supervisor, and Production Supervisors.
  10. Follow all safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
  11. Wear all personal protective equipment as required by the safety policy.
  12. Be responsible and accountable for the professional use of assigned work periods, machinery, equipment and tools.
  13. Understand and perform to the BN Quality Policy taking pride in the products produced.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Minimum of two years automotive shipping standards and just in time delivery requirements

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving
  • Requires excellent forklift skills, a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to move large containers safely without damage
  • Usage of a computer and other workplace a machinery such as SAP hand held scanners, calculators, and printers
