What You'll Do

As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you'll play a key role in fabricating and installing commercial HVAC duct systems while working alongside experienced field leaders and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install commercial HVAC ductwork and sheet metal systems
• Layout, measure, cut, fit, and assemble sheet metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and project specifications
• Install ductwork according to project requirements and SMACNA standards
• Coordinate with foremen and field crews to maintain production schedules
• Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Follow all company safety policies and jobsite requirements
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
• Assist with project completion while meeting quality and productivity goals

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial or industrial sheet metal experience
• Experience fabricating and installing HVAC ductwork systems
• Working knowledge of SMACNA standards and industry best practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, rooftops, and in mechanical rooms
• Strong work ethic and commitment to craftsmanship
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on commercial construction projects
• Experience operating sheet metal fabrication equipment
• OSHA training or safety certifications
• Strong leadership potential and desire for career growth
• Ability to mentor apprentices and less experienced mechanics
