ob description:
Prepare nutritious meals daily (breakfast, lunch and snack) for students ages 1-5 years old.
M-Friday 7:00 am-1:00 pm
Daily/weekly
- Obtain meal counts from each classroom
- Prepare and serve meals
- Wash and put away all dishes before leaving
- Keep kitchen clean and organized at all times
- Wipe and sanitize counters
- Wipe oven and refrigerator
- Wipe & dry all kitchen equipment
- Clear drains of food and rinse out and dry sink each time dishes are done
- Remove from freezer any food needed for the following day for defrosting
- Empty trash can and put new liner in
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors daily
- Label leftover food with current date
- Ensure classroom supplies are filled and delivered (collect supply list Wed, collect/deliver on Friday)
- Interact with the children in a manner that clearly conveys love and acceptance
- If changes are needed on the menu, please change menus in designated areas
- Other duties as needed;
Monthly
- Deep clean the oven
- Defrost the freezer
- Maintain food/supply inventory
- Ensure broom, dust pan and trash can liners are cleaned out
- Attend required trainings as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Knowledge of CACFP protocols
Education:
Graduation from high school, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in production cooking. Experience with the Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and documentation.
