Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of technical operations, manufacturing maintenance, engineering, or automated equipment experience
  • Experience leading maintenance technicians and holding teams accountable to performance, safety, and production goals
  • Experience partnering closely with engineers and supporting engineering-driven projects
  • Ability to lead equipment improvement initiatives focused on reliability, quality, throughput, and safety
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment

Plusses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Candidates without a bachelor's degree who have 3-5+ years of hands-on experience working closely with engineers
  • Power BI experience
  • Automotive manufacturing background (Ford experience highly preferred)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
  • Electronics or highly automated manufacturing experience
  • Experience managing both technicians and engineering resources

  • Direct oversight of approximately 20 technicians and 1 engineer

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician Supervisor for a full-time opportunity in New Albany, Indiana. The Maintenance Technician Supervisor will lead a team of approximately 20 technicians and 1 engineer while overseeing maintenance operations across multiple manufacturing shifts. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of automated production equipment while driving accountability, performance, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance organization. The Maintenance Technician Supervisor will partner closely with engineering teams to execute equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and manufacturing improvement projects. This person will coordinate preventative maintenance efforts, manage technician scheduling and resource allocation, and lead troubleshooting activities related to production equipment and manufacturing processes. The role requires someone who can effectively engage with engineers, communicate across departments, and successfully manage projects that improve quality, throughput, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate possesses a strong combination of technical operations and leadership experience, with a proven ability to develop teams, drive accountability, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should be prepared to provide examples of leading technicians, partnering with engineering teams, and successfully executing projects that delivered measurable business results.
