Welder - MIG / Flux-CoreLocation: Adkins, TX 78101Job Type: Full-Time | On-SiteSchedule: Monday - Thursday | 7:00 AM - 5:45 PMPay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour, based on experience and weld test resultsAbout the PositionTop Metal Solutions is seeking MIG / Flux-Core Welders to join our metal fabrication team.We are considering candidates with different levels of welding experience. Starting pay will be determined based on previous experience, demonstrated skills, and practical weld test results.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and Flux-Core welding on metal components and fabricated assembliesRead and follow work orders, blueprints, and fabrication drawingsPrepare, fit, and align materials before weldingSet up and adjust welding equipment as neededGrind, clean, and finish welded partsVisually inspect welds and identify defectsAccurately use measuring toolsMaintain quality and productivity throughout the fabrication processFollow safety procedures and PPE requirementsMaintain a clean and organized work areaSkills We EvaluateDepending on experience level, candidates may be evaluated on:MIG and Flux-Core weldingFlat, horizontal, vertical, and/or overhead welding positionsWeld quality, penetration, and consistencyBlueprint and fabrication drawing interpretationFit-up, alignment, and assemblyWelding equipment setup and parameter adjustmentMeasuring and layoutBasic fabrication troubleshootingQualificationsPrevious MIG and Flux-Core welding experienceExperience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or structural welding preferredAbility to accurately read a tape measure and perform measurementsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environmentDependable attendance, reliability, and strong work ethicCommitment to quality and safetyPreferred QualificationsStructural steel or heavy fabrication experienceBlueprint reading experienceFitting and assembly experienceWelding certifications are a plus, but not requiredForklift experience is a plusBilingual English/Spanish preferred, as both languages are commonly used in the workplaceCompensation$20.00 - $24.00 per hourStarting pay will be determined based on welding experience, fabrication knowledge, demonstrated skills, and practical weld test results.This is a full-time position averaging approximately 40 hours per week, with opportunities for growth based on performance and skill development.Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to bend, push, pull, and perform physically demanding workWork inside a metal fabrication shop with exposure to noise, sparks, dust, heat, welding fumes, and moving equipmentProper PPE and company safety procedures must be followed at all timesApply today and join the Top Metal Solutions team!
