Job Summary
We are seeking an Electronics Process Engineer to join our team! As an SMT Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving surface-mount technology processes used in printed circuit board assembly. This role supports new-product introduction, SMT equipment programming, solder-paste printing, component placement, reflow profiling, and inspection processes. The engineer troubleshoots manufacturing defects, performs root-cause analysis, develops corrective actions, and works closely with production and quality teams to improve product quality, first-pass yield, efficiency, and equipment uptime. The position also creates process documentation, trains production personnel, and ensures compliance with applicable IPC standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Control and improve the manufacturing process for circuit board assembly
- Program and support SMT Equipment (AOI, Automatic Pick & Place, Stencil Printer etc...)
- Work closely with the team of engineers to hone processes
- Keep detailed records of all findings, changes, and modifications
- Train operators, maintain process documentation
Qualifications
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent field desired with experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
