Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilledPrecision Electrical Assemblerto join our production team. In this role, you will assemble high-precision mechanical and electrical components used in CNC milling and turning machines. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in electromechanical assembly, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work with tight tolerances and complex schematics in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Assembly
- Install and route wiring harnesses, control panels, terminal blocks, and electrical enclosures.
- Connect and terminate wiring for motors, sensors, encoders, and control systems according to wiring schematics and diagrams.
- Perform continuity testing and insulation resistance checks to verify proper electrical connections.
- Assemble and mount CNC control units (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi) into machine cabinets and enclosures.
Documentation & Quality Control
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality checklists.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure full compliance with company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and components used.
Collaboration & Safety
- Partner closely with engineering, quality control, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures related to mechanical and electrical assembly.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical certificate or Associate degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:2+ years of precision mechanical or electrical assembly experience (CNC or industrial equipment experience preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with standard hand tools, electrical crimping, soldering, and wire stripping techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with multimeters, torque tools, calipers, and micrometers.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and components is a plus.
- Core Competencies:Strong manual dexterity, exceptional attention to detail, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Stand or sit for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive tasks requiring precise manual dexterity.
