The Project Analyst is directly responsible for business analysis of current state processes and systems for the project. Specific job tasks include comprehensive documentation of data analysis and reporting processes and associated tools and technologies. Additionally, the Project Analyst participates in business planning, needs analysis, and business risk assessment, and consults with the customer on how to best support their business goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively communicates and collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and requirements in order to deliver analysis and reports as needed
- Establishes effective working relationship with client
- Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis
- Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconciles conflicts, decomposes high-level information into details, abstracts up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs
- Clearly articulates ideas and thoughts verbally
- Accurately prepares written business correspondence (to include presentations) that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelordegree in Business orEngineeringdisciplinepreferred,or equivalent work experience
- At least2yearsof client interface experiencerequired(ex: technical sales, consulting, product management, client management, or business development)
- At least2yearsofexperiencein a position requiring data or businessanalysis
Required Skills:
- Must have highproficiencyin creatingmeaningful reporting dataas well as documenting business requirementsto support the same.
- Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
- BeginnertoIntermediate SQL skills, should be able to build and/or existingmodifyqueries.
- Ability to create reports on Power BI (Preferred, butnotrequired. Ifnot,alreadypossessshould be willing to learn).Effectiveanalytic and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent English written and verbal communicationskills
- Able to effectively communicate high-level concepts and low-leveldetails
- Able to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matterexperts
- Able to work with minimalsupervision
