Position Overview
Primary Responsibilities
Accounting Support:
Perform data entry and enter information into the company’s TMS system.
Review and verify numbers for accuracy.
Confirm that required information and approvals have been completed.
Assist with recordkeeping and document management.
HR and Payroll Support:
Review employee timecards daily and weekly.
Identify missing punches or discrepancies.
Follow up with employees regarding missed punches, vacation requests, and timecard corrections.
Ensure employees approve their timecards before payroll processing.
Prepare accurate information for payroll; this position will not be responsible for issuing checks.
Additional Responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate management meetings.
Provide administrative support to the accounting and compliance departments.
Assist other departments as needed when accounting and compliance work is current.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, professional, eager to learn, and interested in growing with the company. The individual should be a self-starter, a problem-solver, and able to manage multiple priorities. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Workspace is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills and previous logistics industry experience would be beneficial but are not required.
The company is looking for someone interested in a long-term opportunity. Although the position will begin part-time, the goal is for the successful candidate to eventually transition into a full-time role and potentially grow within either the accounting or compliance department.
