Production Line Lead - Weekend Crew

Applied Laboratories is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Line Lead to join our dedicated Weekend Production Crew. This position plays a key role in supporting daily production operations by helping ensure assigned production lines are properly prepared, staffed, organized, and operating safely and efficiently. The Production Line Lead provides hands-on support to production employees, reinforces quality and GMP expectations, assists with training, and helps maintain productivity throughout the shift.

• Friday through Sunday
• Three 12-hour shifts
• Premium weekend rate
• Work 3 days while earning the equivalent of a 40-hour workweek

• Oversee assigned production lines to help achieve production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Set up production lines and verify equipment readiness before production begins.
• Coordinate work assignments at the start of each shift and ensure team members understand responsibilities, quality expectations, and safety requirements.
• Train employees on assigned workstations and reinforce company policies, procedures, and GMP requirements.
• Provide employees with coaching, direction, recognition, and real-time support throughout the shift.
• Assist production personnel as needed to maintain workflow, quality, safety, and productivity expectations.
• Communicate with maintenance personnel when equipment issues arise and help coordinate timely resolution.
• Monitor line performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Support adherence to safety, quality, sanitation, and documentation requirements.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist supervisors with communication, training, and daily operational needs as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous line lead, team lead, or comparable manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead by example and support a positive team culture.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Ability to respond effectively to production issues, changing priorities, and employee questions while maintaining safety, quality, GMP, and productivity expectations.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

This position operates in a manufacturing environment and requires compliance with all safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, and PPE requirements. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, handle materials and equipment, bend, reach, push, pull, perform repetitive motions, and lift or move materials as required. The role may involve exposure to production equipment, machinery, chemicals, cleaning agents, noise, and wet or slippery surfaces.

Any additional training required for weekend operations will be conducted during weekday first-shift hours to support a successful transition into the role.
