Manufacturing Bioprocess Technician

Location: Oceanside, CA 92056
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Pay Rate: $22/hr W2
Shifts: 10-hour shifts; Day, Mid, or Swing Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday

Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a highly automated, controlled cGMP environment. Follow SOPs and batch instructions to operate production equipment, prepare materials and solutions, maintain documentation, and ensure safety and quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, clean, assemble, and sterilize manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Perform raw material weighing, dispensing, aliquoting, and solution preparation.
  • Support upstream operations, including cell culture, bioreactors, centrifugation, and harvesting.
  • Support downstream operations, including filtration, chromatography, purification, and reformulation.
  • Prepare media and buffers according to approved procedures.
  • Perform equipment cleaning, autoclaving, and assembly of production components.
  • Execute environmental monitoring and maintain accurate manufacturing records.
  • Follow cGMP, SOP, safety, aseptic, and quality requirements and promptly report deviations or safety incidents.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required; Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related degree/certificate preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, or GMP environments preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft/Google applications.
  • Ability to work flexible 10-hour shifts, overtime, and extended periods on your feet.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in cleanroom gowning.
  • Comfortable working with chemicals/hazardous materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Onboarding: 3–4 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, followed by on-the-job training on the assigned shift.
