Job Description

This role focuses on small electronics assembly for data center server components in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. You will assemble and inspect delicate electronic parts, help maintain strict cleanliness and quality standards, and contribute to the production of advanced optical and electronic products. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small electronic components used in data center servers, following detailed work instructions and production guidelines.
• Work in a cleanroom environment and wear a full cleanroom suit to prevent dust contamination and maintain product quality.
• Handle and assemble electronics such as chips and printed circuit boards (PCBs) using hand and power tools.
• Perform basic soldering and electrical assembly tasks as needed to complete units.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly.
• Use microscopes and other inspection tools to examine components and assemblies for defects or inconsistencies.
• Conduct visual and manual inspection of electronic assemblies to verify quality and adherence to specifications.
• Follow standard operating procedures and production processes to meet daily output and quality targets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with cleanroom and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors and technicians regarding issues, progress, or process improvements.
• Support general production tasks and mechanical assembly work as assigned, including basic general labor duties within the production line.

Essential Skills

• Manufacturing or production experience, particularly in a structured or process-driven environment.
• Basic electronics assembly experience or exposure, including working with electronics, chips, and PCB boards.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Comfort working with microscopes and small components in a detailed, hands-on setting.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Basic soldering skills or familiarity with soldering processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and cleanliness.
• Effective communication skills to work with teammates and share information clearly.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Willingness to wear a full cleanroom suit and follow strict cleanroom protocols.

Work Environment

You will work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment where maintaining cleanliness and preventing dust contamination is critical. All production personnel wear a full cleanroom suit while on the floor to protect sensitive electronic components and ensure high quality standards. Multiple 12-hour shift options are available, including day and overnight schedules. Day shifts typically run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. across various combinations of Monday through Sunday with alternating days each week, resulting in a rotating pattern of 48-hour and 36-hour weeks. Overnight shifts run from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with a shift differential provided for overnight work. The facility operates on a structured shift system (A–F and Overnight A–F) to support continuous production. You will work with microscopes, hand tools, power tools, and inspection equipment while following strict safety, quality, and cleanliness procedures in a modern, controlled manufacturing setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sugar Land, TX.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
