Job Summary
Exploration Nation is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Classroom Substitute to provide full classroom academic support. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students strengthen their math skills, build confidence, and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full classroom math instruction.
- Reinforce math concepts and provide homework, assessment, and test-preparation support.
- Create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate student progress and areas of concern with the Academic Director.
- Maintain accurate notes and student progress documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field, or currently pursuing a degree.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics and ability to explain concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or youth-development experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, dependable, flexible, and passionate about student success.
- Ability to work effectively with students with varying learning needs and abilities.
Compensation
Competitive 1099 hourly rate based on experience
