Direct Support Professional Omaha

Looking for meaningful work supporting a teen in your community? Alora Supports is hiring a caring, reliable Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one support to a teenager in a supported family living environment in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a part-time opportunity offering approximately 6 hours per week during the late afternoon and early evening.

Schedule

• Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays (Preferred schedule, but open to flexibility)

• 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

• Approximately 6 hours per week

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is caring, patient, dependable, and passionate about helping youth develop their daily life skills and independence. The primary focus for this program will be supporting the teen with personal hygiene and building their motivation to bathe. A secondary (back-up) goal will involve working on functional communication skills.

Required Certifications

• Medication Aide

• CPR and First Aid

• MANDT

• Missing a certification? That's okay! Alora Supports will provide and fully pay for required training.

Additional Details

• Approximately 6 hours per week

• Late afternoon/early evening hours

• Must have reliable transportation to and from work

• Paid training provided

• Experience with IDD, personal hygiene support, communication goals, youth/teens, caregiving, or DSP work is preferred but not required
