Alamo Glass is a residential and commercial glass company based in Austin, TX. We handle everything from custom glass cutting, residential glass installations and large-scale commercial projects, and we're looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Associate to help keep our shop tickets, organization, and deliveries running smoothly.

Job Summary

The Cutting Shop & Warehouse Associate is responsible for cutting retail glass cutting tickets, receiving, organizing, and preparing glass and related materials for outside jobs. This is a physical, detail-oriented role that's essential to keeping our jobs on schedule and our inventory accurate. No prior glass industry experience is required we'll train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Warehouse Foreman in cutting shop tickets for custom glass orders
  • Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming glass deliveries, checking against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy and damage
  • Safely stage, label, and organize glass and materials in the warehouse & shop
  • Pull and prepare materials for outbound job site deliveries, following company procedures
  • Load and unload glass and materials using proper handling techniques and equipment (racks, dollies, suction cups, forklifts, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Track inventory and update records in company systems as materials come in and go out
  • Assist glaziers and truck leads with staging materials for jobs
  • Follow all safety protocols for handling glass and operating warehouse equipment
Qualifications

  • No prior experience required entry level, on-the-job training provided
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and safely handle large, heavy, and fragile materials
  • Comfortable working on your feet in a warehouse/shop environment
  • Basic math and reading skills for cutting glass and checking orders
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license preferred
