Job Summary:
As a Production Line Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality goods. Your primary focus will be on inspecting packages, monitoring machine performance, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Attention to detail, physical strength, and technical skills are essential for this role.
Requirements:
The job requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance.
You must stand for prolonged periods of time.
Climbing tall equipment to replace parts in a safe manner.
You will be working in a loud production floor environment, and proper hearing protection is mandatory.
You must have a strong eye for detail to continuously inspect and focus on small details of produced goods.
Inspect 100% of packages during production, including checks on print quality, welds, and fill volume.
Maintain the correct position at all times while operating the machine.
Keep the workstation clean and organized, properly arranging tool trays, scale tables, and roll tables.
Keep the work station stocked with necessary supplies: cleaning supplies, wipes, gloves, etc.
Assemble boxes and fill them with the correct number of packages while adhering to designated weight requirements.
Replenish raw materials, while also disposing of waste properly
Replace wear parts to maintain a high level of quality in production
Check boxes for leaks and perform leak tests.
Clean the production line at required times following work instructions to prevent downtime, interruptions, and defective packages
Identify and replace defective partson the machine.
Accurately complete all quality control paperwork, following instructions and performing necessary checks. Report issues with paperwork to the quality control team promptly.
Record all machine stoppages using the Down Time Log, communicating with mechanics to accurately document stations and actions performed.
Complete all tasks outlined in the Machine Operators Work Instructions on a daily basis.
Attend weekly Machine Operator meetings to stay updated on any changes or improvements.
By diligently executing these responsibilities, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the production process and ensure the delivery of high-quality goods to customers.
