Position:Lab Coordinator

Reportsto: Lab Supervisor and Lab & Shipping Manager

PrimaryObjective:

Responsible to oversee the receipt, suitability, and routing of all lab samples

Primary Duties andResponsibilities:Including but not limited to the following:

•Packingandshipping of outside testsamples.

•Communicate with inter-departmentstaff totroubleshootissues.

•Receive andprocessincoming samples.

•Review,inspect,and documentinboundloads.

• Prioritizeproductworkflow on theproduction floor.

•Traceability and investigation regardingany samplemovement.

•Prepare test report andcommunicateresults.

•Usecomputerscannersand/or software to input test results.

•Other dutiesasassigned by management.

Educationand Eligibility:
• High schooldiploma or equivalent.

•Minimumof 6 months experience workingin a mechanicaltesting lab preferred.

Preferred Skills:

•Experiencewith various workcellsat themechanicaltesting lab.

• Knowledgeof varioustestpathsin the lab.

•Knowledgeoftime constraints atvariouswork cells in the lab

•Ability and familiarity withsample size,orientation,andgeometry.

•Knowledgeofmaterialproperties.

Physical Demands:
Ability to safely move aroundandworkin an industrial plantenvironment for extendedperiodoftime includingfrequent bending, stooping, andoccasionalexposure to extreme heat

Ability tostand for extended periodof timewith dexterity related tohandling/manipulating small metalsamples andaccessories to testthem.

Occasionally lift up to50lbs.

Ability to workirregular hours andextended hours as required and maintain job performance standards.

Maintain good personal hygiene and professionalappearance.
