The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across human resources programs and processes. This role maintains accurate employee information and records; coordinates transactions such as terminations, rehires, background checks, leaves of absence, and offer letters; supports compliance reporting and audits; and maintains assigned training and access systems.

The HR Coordinator partners with HR leadership and facility teams to resolve routine employee matters and ensure timely, accurate completion of HR activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Supports the compilation, maintenance, and reporting of HR metrics and related workforce data.

· Processes employee terminations accurately and timely, including required system updates and documentation.

· Initiates, monitors, and documents background checks and applicable registry verifications.

· Prepares regular reports and additional reports when requested by HR leadership or other authorized team members.

· Completes routine HR, employee-file, and compliance audits; identifies missing or inaccurate information and follows through on corrections.

· Maintains Relias records, the HR master spreadsheet, and assigned access information in Prism.

· Coordinates and tracks union payments and related administrative documentation.

· Coordinates the administrative aspects of leaves of absence, maintains documentation, and communicates status updates to appropriate parties.

· Responds to unemployment insurance claims and submits requested information within established deadlines.

· Assists with preparing, reviewing, and issuing offer letters and related employment documentation.

· Maintains OSHA logs and supporting records in accordance with established procedures and applicable requirements.

· Responds to routine, low-level HR cases; documents actions taken and escalates matters when appropriate.

· Reviews the No Pay List, follows up with responsible parties, and helps resolve outstanding items.

· Completes updates to facility folders and helps ensure required HR documents are accurate, current, and properly organized.

· Processes rehires for non-salaried employees and confirms required approvals and documentation are complete.

· Coordinates the Choose My Gift program and related employee communications and records.

· Identifies recurring errors and trends and communicates findings to HR leadership to support process improvement and training.

· Participates in problem solving, special projects, and continuous improvement of HR processes.

· Communicates across departments and facilities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

· Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive employee and company information.

· Interacts appropriately with all personnel, guests, vendors, residents, and client staff.

· Complies with all industry, federal, and state guidelines pertaining to human resource practices.

· Represents Yona in a positive manner and is pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with supervisors, co-workers, residents, and client staff.

· Complies with all policies and procedures.

· Performs other HR Coordinator duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

· Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.

· At least two years of related human resources or administrative experience preferred.

· Strong computer skills required.

· MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint experience required.

· Experience with HRIS, learning management, or workforce-management systems preferred.

· SHRM-CP credential preferred.

· Bilingual – Spanish, Creole, etc. preferred.
