Ashburn, VA • 9/10/2026

Job Description

Job Description
  • Remote US role with the flexibility to be based anywhere in the United States, provided you can travel regularly across North America
  • Lead Conflux's growth across the North American data centre liquid-cooling market, owning complex opportunities from first engagement through design-in and production
  • Senior individual-contributor role with significant autonomy, strong earning potential and direct access to a highly technical global engineering business

Help make North America Conflux's largest production market

Conflux Technology is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to win North American data center liquid-cooling opportunities that progress from technical evaluation and design-in through to long-term production.

This is not a transactional sales role.

You will be selling advanced, highly engineered cold plates and heat exchangers into complex supply chains where technical credibility, strong relationships and patience matter. Customers need considerably more than a polished sales pitch before designing a new component into their systems.

We need someone who understands that journey, knows the North American data center cooling ecosystem and has the network to open the right doors.

Why Conflux?

Conflux is an advanced heat exchange technology company headquartered in Geelong, Australia, with a growing international presence.

Our technology was originally shaped in the high-performance world of Formula One engineering and is now being applied across data centers, aerospace, defense, automotive, space and advanced industrial markets.

Conflux manages the engineering journey from thermal design and simulation through to additive manufacturing, testing and validation.

With AI, high-performance computing and increasing rack densities accelerating demand for direct liquid cooling, this is an opportunity to take differentiated Australian engineering into one of the world's most important growth markets.

About the opportunity

You will own the North American business development cycle, from target-account selection and initial engagement through technical qualification, evaluation, design-in and production agreement.

You will work with server OEMs and ODMs, cooling-system integrators, silicon companies, hyperscaler supply chains and strategic partners.

Internally, you will coordinate with Solutions Engineers, Product, Engineering, Operations and Commercial teams to keep opportunities moving through technical and commercial qualification.

This is a senior individual-contributor role with no direct reports and significant autonomy, influence and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Build relationships across the North American data center liquid-cooling market
  • Identify and qualify accounts with genuine potential for repeat production
  • Lead complex, long-cycle opportunities from first engagement through design-in and production
  • Translate technical performance into customer value, total cost of ownership and rack-level economics
  • Work with internal technical teams through evaluation, testing and production readiness
  • Lead first-line commercial discussions covering pricing, evaluation agreements and supply arrangements
  • Build a disciplined, accurate and forecastable pipeline
  • Develop strategic channel, integration and design partnerships
  • Represent Conflux at relevant industry events, technical forums and Open Compute Project communities
  • Provide market insight that helps shape Conflux's product, pricing and commercial strategy

Success will include securing qualified design-ins with a credible path to multi-year production, building productive North American partnerships and contributing to the overall regional sales target.

What we are looking for

You will ideally bring:

  • At least 10 years of experience in business development, technical sales or strategic accounts
  • A track record of winning design-in, specification-led or production business
  • Experience within data centers, semiconductors, electronics thermal management or another engineered-component market
  • An established North American network across server OEMs and ODMs, cooling integrators, silicon companies or hyperscaler supply chains
  • Working knowledge of direct liquid cooling, including cold plates, CDUs, manifolds and rack or facility interfaces
  • The technical credibility to engage with thermal, mechanical and systems engineers
  • Experience navigating evaluations, qualification gates and multi-stakeholder buying groups
  • Strong commercial judgement across volume pricing, cost-down requirements and deal structure
  • Excellent pipeline management and forecasting discipline
  • The ability to work independently and build a market rather than simply service an existing territory

A technical or engineering qualification would be highly regarded. Experience in additive or advanced manufacturing would also be valuable.

Your network matters. We are looking for someone who already understands how the North American data center cooling ecosystem works, who influences design decisions and how suppliers become qualified.

Location and contractor arrangement

This is a remote, full-time independent contractor engagement with Conflux Technology USA Inc.

You may be based anywhere in the United States, provided you have access to a major international airport and can travel regularly across North America.

Periodic travel to Conflux Technology's headquarters in Geelong, Australia, will also be required.

This is an independent contractor engagement rather than an employee position. The contractor will be responsible for their own health insurance, taxation, accounting and other contractor-related costs.

The contract is intended to be a long-term engagement and includes a 30-day termination provision.

Package details will be discussed privately with suitable candidates early in the recruitment process.

Interested?

Please apply with your resume and a short cover letter outlining:

  • Your experience winning technical design-in or production business
  • Your exposure to the North American data center or liquid-cooling market
  • Why the opportunity to build Conflux's North American presence interests you

We want to understand what you have personally won, how you navigate complex technical sales and the relationships you could bring to this opportunity.
