Job Title: Laborer – Powder Coater

Job Description

This night-shift role supports the powder coat line in a manufacturing environment by loading, unloading, and handling parts throughout the coating process. You will stand for most of your shift, perform highly repetitive tasks, and help ensure that coated parts meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the powder coat line to support daily production activities on the night shift.
  • Stand for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks related to hanging and handling parts.
  • Hang parts on racks or hooks after they have been coated, ensuring correct placement and spacing.
  • Change hooks and racks and set up the line to accommodate different parts and production runs.
  • Load parts onto the line before coating and unload parts from the line after coating.
  • Insert plugs into parts before coating and remove plugs after coating as required.
  • Inspect coated parts for defects, damage, or irregularities and report issues promptly.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety regulations, promote a safe work environment, and immediately report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Perform various other related duties as required to support the powder coating and production process.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive physical work.
  • Experience or comfort working on a production line with powder coating processes.
  • Basic understanding of general production and manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong focus on safety, with the ability to follow safety regulations and procedures.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail when inspecting parts for defects and quality issues.
  • Willingness to perform general and physical labor in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • General or physical labor within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in powder coating or coating lines is beneficial but not required.
  • Forklift operating experience in a production or warehouse setting is an asset.
  • Flexibility to perform various duties as needed to support overall production.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing facility with a production line style setup focused on powder coating operations. You will work on the night shift in a fast-paced environment that involves continuous movement of parts along the line. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.36 - $17.36/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
