Status:Full Time Position - Hourly non-exempt

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and qualified Welder II who has

proven experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for welding, cutting, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. You will need to be able interpret blueprints and understand our conveyor materials and products.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints,schematics and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machinery.
  • Collects necessary tools and materials and plans work order procedure details using provided instructions and specifications.
  • Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
  • Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
  • Occasionally travel to job sites to assist with installation or customer concerns.
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  • Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
  • Help train and assist entry level Welders.
  • Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures continuing to promote the Company's culture of providing a safe work environment
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards all colleagues, members of Management, and customers.
  • Ability to work on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

Skills/Requirements:

Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.

Some technical knowledge and proficiency in troubleshooting simple systems.

Ability to work with little supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced on-site

environment.

Effective communication skills to interact with customers and Team Members.

Detail oriented with good organizational and time management abilities.

Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required.

Bachelor's Degree in equivalent field or 2 years of relevant work experience.

Reliable transportation to and from work and customer sites.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00

  • Ability for some overtime throughout the year depending on business needs.
  • Paid weekly in arrears each Friday.
