Full Time-Licensed Counselor
AppleGateRecoveryis anaddiction treatment program that providesmedically-supervisedservices for adults in a variety of modalities and settings. The licensed counselor willbe responsible foroffering support andassistanceto patients enrolled in Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid usedisorder. Utilizing evidence-based practices and a trauma-informed approach, the counselor will help patients develop individualized coping techniques and symptom management skills that enablethento experience improved quality of life. Through collaboration with doctors,nursesand a multidisciplinary team, the counselor will play a vital role in evaluating patient progress and developing an individualized plan of care.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service at regularly scheduled intervals based on patientneed, bestpracticesand state regulations; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
Conducts initial assessment and evaluation todetermineeligibility for services.
Complete Bio-psychosocial assessment.
Establish individualized treatmentplanwith each patient and review as clinicallyindicated.
Respond, as needed, to patient grievances and complaints.
Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
Will provide support to 4 other locations/clinics
Other related duties asdeterminedby supervisor.
Qualifications:
CurrentLouisiana licensure - LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LRC
Previousexperience working with chemically dependent individuals.
Mustdemonstratea positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
Ability to collaborate with compassionate and knowledgeable counseling team members
Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen

Eligible employees may have the opportunity to apply for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP), this program offers student loan repaymentassistancefor qualified professionals, based on approved work locations. Approved work locations are approved through HRSA and have guidelines to meet such as county suiciderate.Pleasenotenot all locations may qualify.
