Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to operate and program Mazak lathes for precision manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality components.
Duties
- Operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce complex parts according to specifications.
- Program and set up machines using Maztrol or Mastercam or similar software
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Adjust machine parameters as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor machining processes, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments during production runs.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times in the machining environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and machine settings.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating Mazak CNC lathes
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines using Mazatrol or Mastercam CAM software.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and technical drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of tooling, materials, and cutting parameters specific to lathe operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety standards and workplace cleanliness.
- Prior experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery is preferred.
