The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports a highly automated distribution facility by installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining complex material handling and robotic systems. This role focuses on ensuring high equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, including conveyors and automated conveyor systems.
• Perform quality predictive and preventative maintenance routines on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, following established procedures and documentation.
• Conduct battery changes and perform preventive maintenance on batteries to support equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with material handling equipment, robotic systems, and related controls, using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Enter downtime data in daily logs and accurately complete preventive maintenance (PM) sheets to document work performed.
• Manage and close work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Track, store, and organize department inventory, including spare parts and critical components, to support timely repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, including motors and automated components.
• Support troubleshooting of basic input and output functions of building operations and equipment controls.
• Follow and demonstrate established safety standards and practices in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines and facility safety policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, maintenance processes, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet performance expectations, using data and metrics to understand and improve individual and team results.
• Operate within a large, high-speed, automated environment that includes robotic equipment, ensuring systems run efficiently and safely.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including walking significant distances within the facility and handling loads as required by the role.

• At least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on industrial or automated equipment.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics.
• 2+ years of knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical and electronic principles.
• 2+ years of experience in the mechanical or electrical field through apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
• 1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
• 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience completing preventative maintenance on automated conveyor systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and motors.
• Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.
• Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and facility safety standards.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance records.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations and controls.
• Demonstrated ability to follow and uphold safety standards consistently.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Background in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience running diagnostics, conducting inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, and creating work orders for conveyors and other MHE, including controls and robotics.
• Associate degree or higher from a vocational school or college with a focus in the mechanical or electrical field.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset with a focus on enhancing equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a reliability, maintenance, and engineering environment.
• Comfort working with high-speed automation and robotic equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a data-driven environment where performance metrics are tracked.
• Strong organizational skills for managing spare parts inventory and maintenance documentation.

This role is based in a large, highly automated distribution facility equipped with high-speed material handling systems and extensive robotic components. The environment is data-driven, with systems in place to track performance metrics and ensure expectations are clear, while avoiding unnecessary micromanagement. The work involves significant physical activity, including walking substantial distances throughout the shift (for example, up to approximately 10,000 steps per day) and handling loads up to around 49 pounds at a time. Team members work around complex mechanical, electrical, and control systems in a fast-paced setting that prioritizes safety and reliability. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available across multiple shifts and schedules. The facility operates with a strong focus on safety, proper use of tools and equipment, and adherence to maintenance procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, TX.

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
