Job Summary
A growing manufacturing environment in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Materials Engineer for a direct hire opportunity focused on customer applications, surface treatment processes, technical project support, and new application development. This role is well suited for an engineering professional with experience in materials science, coatings, heat treatment, nitriding, carburizing, thermal diffusion, or related advanced manufacturing processes.

The Materials Engineer will work closely with customers, production teams, engineering, and business development to support technical requirements from RFQ through implementation. This is a strong opportunity to join a collaborative, quality-focused team with supportive leadership, exposure to diverse technical projects, and a clear path to broaden both engineering and customer-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Support customer RFQs, technical inquiries, application reviews, and project requirements.
- Develop part drawings, fixtures, and related engineering documentation using 3D modeling software.
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for manufacturability and process alignment.
- Coordinate new customer applications, implementation activities, production scheduling, and cross-functional project communication.
- Support product development, process improvement, customer relationships, business development efforts, and trade show activity.
- Prepare technical reports, forecasts, and project updates while following AS9100, ISO 9001, and OSHA safety standards.

Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
- Location: Lebanon, IN.
