Embark on an exciting opportunity supporting students as a contract paraprofessional near Rohnert Park, CA! This rewarding position offers ten immediate openings for dedicated individuals passionate about making a difference in PreK–12 educational environments.
You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from August 13, 2026, to June 3, 2027. Your work will focus on one-to-one student support and assisting within self-contained classrooms, engaging students across various grade levels and abilities. Expect uplifting moments and meaningful connections as you provide guidance and encouragement.
What we’re hoping you bring:
• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school support role
• Certification in CPI or equivalent behavioral intervention skills (preferred)
• RBT certification welcomed, though not required
• Ability to remain calm and proactive while working with students demonstrating severe behavioral challenges
• Comfort implementing behavioral intervention strategies and support plans
• Genuine interest in fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Providing direct, individualized assistance to students, both in one-to-one settings and within small groups
• Implementing behavior intervention programs and ensuring student safety and emotional well-being
• Collaborating with teachers, specialists, and other support staff to optimize learning outcomes
• Assisting with classroom routines, redirection, and facilitating student engagement
• Maintaining clear and accurate documentation when needed
