Heltronics, Inc., a growing cable assemblies and wire harness contract manufacturing company, is looking for aManufacturing Managerto grow with the Company!

The Manufacturing Manager overseas the all manufacturing activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Manages the activities of the different groups and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Prioritizes production schedules based on product requirements, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and employee related task. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding direct/indirect labor. Takes an active role in increasing efficiency of labor and equipment use. This position will work closely with the operations manager to support customer requirements and schedules, as well as supply chain issues.

We work Mon-Thur. 6:30-4 PM and Fri. 6:30-10:30 AM

Requirements:

  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing problems or assist assemblers in solving operating problems including grievances.
  • Responsible for monitoring production to resolve issues
  • Provide a manufacturing operations environment based on exceeding the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Evaluates each station of the production process to maintain optimum efficiency.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawing specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
  • Creates and coordinates employee training to increase production, enhance safe operations and ensure profitability.
  • Maintain communication between management and employees to ensure that necessary policies are understood and followed.
  • Ensures that the flow of resources like raw materials is maintained and that production items are delivered as needed and used properly and efficiently.
  • Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff.
  • Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team.
  • Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
  • Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff.
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production team.
  • Evaluating equipment for production for recommendation to Management for purchasing.

Requirements

  • Self starter and self motivated
  • Electronics and/or assembly manufacturing required
  • High level of computer skills, ERP and Microsoft Office, required
  • Knowledge of IPC 610 and 620 standards
  • Able to read drawings and understand technical requirements
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Strong statistical data analysis skills
  • Understanding of some type or ERP/MRP systems
  • Experienced in soldering and wire harnesses
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and guide others.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong Hands-on ability to work on equipment and software

Experience

  • Wire harness or electro-mechanical assembly related work
  • Suitable candidates must possess 5 to 7 years of manufacturing support experience in the areas of production, supply chain, scheduling and planning
  • Experience with production of electro-mechanical assemblies is a must

Schedule:

  • Mon-Thur. 6:30-4 PM and Fri. 6:30-10:30 AM
