Position Summary

AQUALIS isseekinga dependable, hands-on Diesel/ Shop Mechanic(Mid-Level Fleet & Equipment Mechanic)tomaintainand repair vehicles,vac trucks, trailers, landscape equipment,andotherspecialized equipment used by our field operations teams.This positionis responsible forkeeping our fleet and equipment safe, reliable, and field-ready throughpreventativemaintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, independent mechanic who is comfortable working across diesel vehicles, fleet equipment, small engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and trailers. This role is primarily based in the shop, with occasional field support to diagnose and repair equipment when needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Fleet, Diesel &Vac TruckMaintenance

• Perform preventativemaintenanceand repairs on vac trucks, pickup trucks, and light-to-medium-duty service vehicles, including oil changes, fluid and filter replacement, lubrication, and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brakes, ties, steering, suspension, cooling, starting/charging, and electrical systems.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment for developing mechanical or safety issues and complete repairs before failures occur whenever possible.

Equipment & Trailer Maintenance

• Maintain and repair commercial mowers,Ventracspecialty tractors, walk-behind equipment, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscape equipment, including small engines, belts, pulleys, bearings, spindles, blades, decks, and hydraulic components.
• Inspectand repair utility and equipment trailers, including brakes, bearings, hubs, tires, lighting, wiring, jacks, andsafelycouplers.

Diagnostics & Field Support

• Troubleshootand repair pumps, generators, pressure washers, vacuum equipment, and hydraulic systems, including basic hydraulic hose replacement and minor welding/fabrication as needed.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns by phone or in the field and perform occasional field repairs to minimize operational downtime.
• Coordinate complex or specialized repairs with dealerships and outside vendors when necessary.

MaintenanceTracking & Shop Support

• Maintainaccuratemaintenancerecords, including labor, parts, repairs, and equipment downtime.
• Help manage inventory of commonly used spare parts and supplies.
• Prioritize repairs based on safety, equipment, availability, and operational urgency.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly liftandcarry50–75 lbs.and perform frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and working underneath vehiclesand equipment.
• Workin an active shop environmentaroundvehicles, machinery,oils, fuels, noise,and other mechanical equipment.
• Outdoor work and field work may berequiredin varying weather conditions.
• Schedule priorities may shiftbased onequipment needs,safety,andoperational urgency. Occasional overtime or after-hoursupport may berequiredduring peak seasons.

Pay:$25.00- $32.00 Per hour
