SUMMARY:

The Driver is responsible for the company vehicles to transport clients to aftercare placements, treatment related appointments, recreational activities, and from referral points to the program site. Must have a Current valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience driving a variety of vehicles including multi-passenger vans.
  • Working knowledge of Massachusetts’s traffic laws.
  • Ability to relate effectively with patients in a treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of basic treatment or twelve-step concepts and ability to support basic recovery goals.
  • Positive report from Registry of Motor Vehicles on Driver Record Check.
  • Comply with all road and vehicle safety and maintenance regulations.
  • Interact with clients in a positive manner to support recovery plans.
  • Participate in required educational and in-service training programs, including CPR and First Aid.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, Experience, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.

  • Education:High School Diploma.
  • Experience:Experience driving a variety of vehicles including multi-passenger vans.
  • Skills:Ability to interact with addiction patients with sensitivity and in a non-judgmental manner.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:Valid clean Massachusetts Driver’s License.
