What You'll Do
As a Lead Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Partner with Residential Managers to ensure quality services and compliance with program standards.
- Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to Direct Support Professional staff.
- Assist with staff development and promote best practices in person-centered care.
- Support compliance with agency policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Communicate effectively with guardians, healthcare providers, and community partners.
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
- Support the development of independent living skills and personal growth.
- Accompany and support individuals in community activities, appointments, and social events.
- Implement individualized support plans and behavioral support strategies.
- Promote dignity, respect, self-determination, and person-centered services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
- Monitor and report changes in individuals' health, behavior, and overall well-being.
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations.

QualificationsRequired- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Direct Support Professional, including experience supporting individuals with behavioral challenges
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain certification
- Commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Preferred
- One (1) year of lead or supervisory experience in a human services, healthcare, or residential support setting
- Additional education or training in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Nursing, or a related field
Employment Requirements
Successful candidates must be able to pass:
- State and federal criminal background checks
- Drug screening
- Pre-employment physical examination
- PPD/TB testing
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Tuesday through Saturday
- 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
- Evening schedule in a residential support setting
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist individuals with personal care and daily activities
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and provide physical assistance as needed
- Ability to accompany individuals in community settings
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
