A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide timely financial reporting to leadership. Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage accounting records within Sage 100
- Prepare and provide weekly financial reports and updates to leadership
- Record and reconcile company expenses
- Manage accounts payable processes, including commission payments to business partners
- Monitor ACH transactions and ensure accurate recording of automated payments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Create and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports to support business operations
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable team regarding customer billing and software renewal revenue
- Support external payroll and benefits administration vendors by providing necessary accounting information and reports
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls as needed
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with Sage 100 preferred
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles
- Knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
